Am I the only one who doesn't want my sci-fi horny?

It also makes it much more tantalizing/potent when it does occur (Tony shalhoub in galaxy quest)

It's strange im a millennial siding with gen-z on that.

I think it's fine on Lower Decks since they make it funny. I hope no one thinks we need another episode like the one from TNG season 1 where Data does the deed.

That’s such an important episode, though. That experience stays with Data forever.

FULLY FUNCTIONAL...

They were paying homage to Kevin with that episode, though!

As a Gen-Xer who got plenty of in the 90s and early 00s, horny sci-fi works in moderation, but, yeah, LD could afford to dial it back a smidge. I like the dynamism of that show, and the writers have no shortage of imagination. Let’s stifle that urge. It’s like the fart joke of this generation.

Love the open portrayal of sex to fart joke analogy.

I’d like to say that civilization evolves, but this feels like more of a lateral move.

Ace Trekkie here, you're not alone! The decon scenes in Enterprise especially just make me cringe so hard, there's just way too much horniness on that show for my tastes.

The shower scene in the first episode of Enterprise put me off of watching the show for many, many years.

Although it's probably realistic though. They're alone in space on the road for months at a time. There are other no other human ships that far out at that point in time so it's basically just them and the people on board.
