yup, i watch 20+ hour VODS of someone playing a game instead of just playing the game myself.

It's quite similar to watching sports on TV instead of playing sports yourself. 3rd person enjoyment if you will

Although playing video games is still fun for me. Playing sports just reminds me of how old and decrepit my body has become over the years.

My 9yo cousins cant hack it. I let them play my pc and the second youtube went on the other screen they were hypnotised, completely stopped playing the game for 15 mins

Video on demand. I believe it is used to differentiate between a live stream, which must be watched live, and the recording of the stream which can be watched at any time or, as the name suggests, on demand.
