nah that's the right response. there's nothing to be said. you came in for a burger, they cant give you a burger, no need to waste more time than that

While that does seem efficient, there's no way I wouldn't be too curious to ask what in the living hell is going on that a McDonald's can't produce a burger.

I went to a burger king and they didn't have any chicken patties, because of supply issues during covid. So I ordered something else.

What? What does this even mean?! I’d have flown to the opposite side of the country to find a location that has what I want. Y’know, like a normal person.

One time I was about done with my order when I said that I wanted curly fries with it. When the cashier said they don't have them atm I'd let them cancel my order and left. No shame in that
