Hello all! I was thinking about games I enjoyed so much when I played them that I still think about them nearly weekly and I was curious what games had that effect on you. For me those two games where:

  • Disco Elysium, for it's unique gameplay, excellent vibe, and incredible story telling.
  • Stray, for it's beautiful world, relaxing aesthetic, and insane polish / attention to detail.

I beat each of these over two years ago, and I'm still obsessing over how much I liked them. It took so much effort for summarize my love for those two games into two sentences. If you haven't checked them out, you should!

  • Dreamfall for the story. I own Chapters but still haven't gotten to it.. I'm so worried about being let down.
  • Starsiege: Tribes, any time I think of a multiplayer shooter. I played the hell out of Renegades mods.
  • Alien vs Predator 2 (multiplayer), nothing has come close to the sheer joy provided by wall walking + pounce as an Alien.
  • Neverwinter Nights, as it was the only game where I was invested in the people I played with (guild, persistent world server and all that). I wish I could track down some people from those days and see what they've been up to. Also, Bastions of War was amazing.
