Every online game since WoW is also valid for an online chat, only the avatars and activities are sligly different and less boring.

Yeah exactly, it's basically no different from what people already do with stuff like MMOs, but missing the fun of actually playing a game.

I played Runescape as a kid and teen. I liked the economy aspect of it so much, that I've become an economist. The games we play have much more influence on what we do that I think we admit.

Sure, everything we're exposed to shapes how we think and behave. My main point was that metaverse has to compete for attention with plenty of other things that are far more entertaining.
