If he started paying attention to who he took pictures with he wouldn't have to keep denouncing them.
He has actively courted incels and such on social media with hash tags. This isn't a slip up, these people are his base. The only thing he's sorry for is that people who aren't raging hateful assholes notice.
And I'm glad he's stupid enough to think that the denouncing is enough.
I'm certain he's happy to have their vote, regardless.
