Hi everyone, long time lurker. We're hoping to close on a house soon so I'll be getting out of our apartment and I'll finally have my own space. The room size will will be 12' 10” x 13' 6". I'm hoping to start with a 2.1 set up and then upgrade to 5.2 over time. I'll be using the set up for music, movies, and gaming. I just wanted to see if you guys had any thoughts on what I'm planning to get:
TV: Samsung Q90c (hopefully 83" but at least 77")
AVR: Denon X3800H
Fronts: Kef R5
Sub: HSU VTF-3 MK5
Eventually, I'm planning on getting a KEF R2 as a center and KEF Q150s as surrounds. Maybe another sub if it's not too much.
How well will this set up work in the room size? Will it be too much?
Will I need an amp? I still don't fully understand when you need an amp and when you don't.
Is there anything that I'm missing or things that I should be mindful of? Would you recommend anything other than what I have here?
I'm still learning everything so thank you in advance for any help!
