We could have had Bernie. I can't even imagine how different so many things would have been...

[–] [email protected] 87 points 1 year ago (10 children)

We weren't allowed to have him, some rich people would have slightly less money.

[–] [email protected] 23 points 1 year ago (6 children)

Who do I vote for so rich people can have a lot less money?

[–] [email protected] 9 points 1 year ago

That's the fun part. You can't. They have had studies since the '70s that show that if they'd pay everyone a thriving wage, they'd be even richer than they are. Funny thing, when the working class has disposable income we buy shit. They are no longer interested in their net worth. The new high score is how many people they can kill with needless suffering before we realize that scarcity actually disappeared in the '70s, and everyone should be living their best life, and we decide to kill them back.

I'd be feeding my cat so much more salami.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 1 year ago

Never let your cat forget that a better world is possible. ✊🥲

Bernie being pro-cat even though they can't vote is very in character, standing up for the maginalized

Israel is trying to figure out how to call him anti-Semitic

[–] [email protected] 52 points 1 year ago (2 children)

My cat when it sees me opening the fridge: I am once again asking for your salami support.

[–] [email protected] 12 points 1 year ago (1 children)

This is my cat anytime I'm in the kitchen. She thinks that the sole purpose of that entire space is to store her food.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 year ago

You fail to understand who let who stay where.

[–] SpaceCowboy 8 points 1 year ago

Try telling your cat that salami isn't possible because of gridlock in Congress.

[–] Stalinwolf 34 points 1 year ago

I remember how much this pleased me at the height of Bernie's campaign. :(

[–] [email protected] 22 points 1 year ago (3 children)

Salami seems awfully salty for cats

[–] [email protected] 19 points 1 year ago (2 children)

They can get hydration out of ocean water. Little sadistic fuckers have really good kidneys. I doubt a small amount of salami will harm them.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (4 children)

And yet the majority of house cats die of Kidney Failure... 🤔

[–] [email protected] 14 points 1 year ago

That's because wild cats get a lot of their water from their food, and they don't like drinking from stagnant water. Most people only feed their cats dry food and use a water bowl.

When I first got a water fountain for mine, I had to start cleaning the litter box twice as often. They also won't drink out of it if the water isn't running.

They're finely tuned instruments. High octane race cars would be an appropriate example. The majority of those end up "dead" from destroying their engines.

Guys can we stop getting political at the dinnertable

Cars can have a little salami

[–] MystikIncarnate 6 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Salami isn't good for cars.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 year ago

But a little is ok

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Who are you to judge where I put my salami?

Based Bernie, per usual

[–] Glide 20 points 1 year ago

As a treat.

[–] [email protected] 15 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Is she really suggesting cats should only eat processed garbage cat food their whole lives? Reason #744 to support Bernie!

[–] [email protected] 22 points 1 year ago

yeah, my cat deserves a bit of processed salami along side their processed cat food!

[–] [email protected] 16 points 1 year ago (1 children)

All natural salami, picked from the freshest salami trees

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 year ago

Much healthier than ham from the ham mines.

[–] MystikIncarnate 11 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

Cats can absolutely have salami. Only a little though.

For those mentioning salt, cats are not dissimilar to us when it comes to salt. Some is fine, a lot can be very very bad for you.

Keeping in mind that the amount of salt that's okay is going to be a lot less because cats are much much smaller than we are. A low sodium diet for a human, in grams of sodium, would be a lot of sodium for a cat.

With that, a little should be fine. Once in a while.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Give Bernie a little salami

[–] [email protected] 8 points 1 year ago
[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 year ago

If I feed my cat salami, that per se makes the salami cat food.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 year ago (11 children)

If cats can eat grass, entire mice, and weirdly even potato chips then I'm pretty sure salami is fine

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Cats eat grass to make themselves puke
