My desktop PC that can run modern AAA games more than fine but I still find myself using more to play PS2 titles.

Steam deck (LCD), managed by EmuDeck.

And then my beefy PC for anything too unoptimized to run on the deck (and to do dumb shit like raytracing)

I originally got a RP2+, then a 3, then the 3+ PCB upgrade, then eventually just got the OLED deck. I still adore the design, quality, and concept of the Retroid devices, but ultimately I needed something bigger and comfier in my hands, and easier on my eyes.

I heard the 3 was a wreck.

I got a retroid cos it fit m budget perfectly. If I had cash to burn I'd get a deck or something.

Retroid devices are nice but they would benefit from a non pocket line.

I'm not saying do an ayaneo and make one every other day but 2 lines, pocket and something more comparable to the deck in shape would be nice

The 3 was actually pretty decent when it came out. It was a massive upgrade from the 2+ in terms of form and features, just not in power. However, the 3+ came out just like a month or two later, and it did have a jump in both power as well as battery life. It rendered the 3 obsolete pretty much immediately.

These days I think the 4 pro looks absolutely perfect for everything I originally wanted out of a retroid device short of an OLED display. I just don’t have a need for one anymore now that I’ve got a deck.

Yea. I don't see the pocket part tho, its a good device

Handheld wise, I've been using my GP2X since 2006 and a couple years ago I purchased an Evercade. The Evercade is nice, but I still use my GP2X more. Apart from these, I do most of my retro gaming with VICE (on my PC) and TheC64Mini (on the T.V.). As you can probably guess by now, I'm an old-school Commodore guy. 😄

In order of most used to least these days: Anbernic RG353P, Steam Deck, PC.

Is the 353p the SNES shaped thingy?

Yep. I love the ergonomics of it.
