Both teams are 2-3, and each one needs a win to bring them back to 500. Maier played well for the Stamps last week, passing for 315 yards in a walk-off win thanks to a Paredes field goal. The Redblacks had a huge comeback win last week, coming back from a 19 point deficit in the 4th quarter to win it in a thrilling overtime victory. Crum, in his first CFL start, was a huge factor.

Lots of story lines in this one. Who is going to take this one?

Yup! That one was a lot of fun, for sure.

Excellent drive by Ottawa, but they have to settle for a field goal.

Well, that was a quick answer by Calgary! Nice touchdown after a great pass by Maier and a better catch by Barnes.

Great 1^st^ Q! As a neutral observer, I like a close game! From my eye test of this game, Stamps have the better O, but Redblacks have the better D

A mistake by Maier, and a great pick six by Dandridge for Ottawa.

Wow, what a catch! Touchdown Stamps!

Yeah, that was sweet! About passing defenders, like there for instance, how do they know when to put their hands on the receiver (if the QB isn't in their sightline)? Are they watching the receiver's body language mostly?

[–] Zamboniman 2 points 2 years ago

Some handfighting is tolerated, but anything other than that is interference and a flag. Yeah, they watch the receiver, especially their body language and eyes. When the receiver's eyes get big and their hands go out, they know the ball is there.

Turnovers look like an issue for Calgary so far.

Two turnovers lead to two touchdowns for Ottawa, and against the Stamps. Stamps better clean it up!

[–] streetfestival 2 points 2 years ago

For sure! Some points on the board wouldn't hurt the Stamps either. Otherwise, it feels like Ottawa's going to pull away

[–] Zamboniman 2 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Well then... Maier is sure chucking 'em today.

Stamps "feasting on the ball in the air" - I like that lol

Stamps must be listening to this thread and noted the suggestion to tidy up their passing, because they have so far this quarter :)

Nice to know they're Lemmy users.

Great return by Lewis!

A good first half of football, and a very close game. Still anybody's game.

That blocked punt could be a game breaker. We'll see what they do with it.

Faked field goal! Will it be enough?

[–] Zamboniman 2 points 2 years ago

Not enough. Turnover on downs.

Great pass to Michel for the go-ahead TD, and great back-and-forth game!
