Ok ok ok why do people lay their houses out differently to mine? 😭😭 I can't find the bloody toaster! (/J but fr I seriously can't find the toaster and nobody else is home)

There are some savages out there who, believe it or not, put their toasters AWAY in a CUPBOARD, EVERY SINGLE TIME after they use it. I have resolved that I will never again share a house with such a demented person if I ever have a choice about it

🖐️ Owning up to savagery here. Although mine goes in a drawer. As does my kettle.

Kettle? Kettle! Do you empty it first ??????

That is no way to live. Putting toasters away, pfft! Do they also iron their underwear?

[–] [email protected] 6 points 2 years ago

They live amongst us, having no hand soap in the kitchen because "you should only wash your hands in the bathroom". Unsettling.

They may have had one, but it broke and was discarded. They might even have been hoping you'd bring one with you. They do catch on fire easily, so this is a reasonable hypothesis. You could if you wished acquire one from Kmart or Ikea or Appliances Online or whatever - they are cheap and designed to break easily and be replaced. Capitalism in action. So I didn't replace mine the last time it broke, and now use the grill cos I was feeling ornery. Also, people do change the settings to their own personal preferences AND DON"T CHANGE THEM BACK - which is major uncivilised conduct in a shared kitchen. You might like to acquire one and keep it in your room to protect the settings you prefer. Just clean out the crumb tray regularly so it doesn't catch fire.

The Sweeney Todd Broadway soundtrack has been a fun accompaniment this morning

Ok. Movie time again. Need to start now or it’ll get too late.

Rurouni Kenshin: The final.

I really like the Kenshin Live action movies.

Two minute noodles with additives for dinner. I used the last of my high-protein noodle packs. I don't think they are quite as nice as standard noodles, but they are pretty close.

One Lindt chocolate ball is on the cards for desert. I really miss the days of my youth when I could eat endless amounts of chocolate and sweets, these days supply must be limited ☹️ But limited chocolate is still an improvement on dieting mode no chocolate.

Fighting a new brand of ink. Watered down it looks grey and even when the ink is thinned the brush doesn't spring back into shape after use. That's a no for that ink.

The metallic paint can't be thinned down, the brush "strains" it, so at the start of a brush stroke the ink is thick and dark , by the end it's watery and grey. Looks grey even with added india ink. Nice sparkles tho.

Looks like Daiso ink for the win.

Sailing away on hopes and dreams
But all's not as calm as it seems
A monster makes noise 'neath my bed
Reluctantly I shuffle so out pops my head
It chews on my bottle and on powercords
This cat I will yeet, I swear to fUCKING god.
