Bombers are doing bomber things again. Granted, beating edmonton doesn't prove much... They need the rest to get refocused I think.

Granted, beating edmonton doesn’t prove much
Yeah, it's amazing how bad they've been. I would think, and hope for the sake of the league, that they can pull it together a bit.
Lions @ Bombers in Week 9 should be a great match! And, possibly, a foreshadow of who'll come out of the West
The last game in this week's schedule is going to start shortly. Two teams both looking to improve their sub 500 records and get some momentum going. Shawn Lemon, of course, gets his first start as an Allouette. He previously played for Calgary and, I think, about 32 other CFL teams, or something like that (seriously, Hamilton is the only team he hasn't pulled on a uniform for).
It's been a good game at the half! Stamps offence hasn't found their groove yet
Yeah, the Stamps are flat again. Lots of little mistakes, lots of not being in quite the right place at the right time.
Riders vs the Argos should be a good game. I'm wondering if the Argos can keep rolling.
I think the Argos are definitely roughing the Riders up this weekend (I'm in Toronto, but have family in Saskatchewan, hence the chirpiness :). I'm thinking Sunday's game might be the most competitive match this week. Based on team records so far, and being impressed with the Redblacks D last week, I like the Redblacks, Argos, and Lions odds' of getting wins this weekend. Maybe that's captain obvious. Maybe I'll learn that football's not so easily predicted. Maybe I'll be right and march boastfully around this community for the next week :P
Hamilton-Ottawa is a low scoring affair so far.
I started watching after the Jays game, and what I saw was an awesome game! I hope Mitchell's ankle is okay!
Yeah, that didn't look good. He's reached that point in his career where he seems to spend more time injured than healthy.
Go Elks!!!
I'm hoping they can actually pull one out, just for the sake of ending their streak.
Agreed! I think I saw on the Riders @ Argos broadcast that the Elks have the longest home losing streak in NA pro sports history (20 games), which is a lot worse than the 0-7 I already knew about. I like the Lions (their black unis are so nice!) but how, as a neutral fan, can you not root for the Elks tonight?
At this point the question isn't if the Elks can win a game, it's if they can score a single point!
Will the Elks win a game before they get to 10 losses? They (0-7) face the Lions this week, have a bye-week next week, followed by a match with the Bombers, and then the Ti-Cats
Through 1.5 of the 4 games this weekend, my earlier week prediction that only games not on Saturday will be entertaining this week is looking on-track. I hope the Riders can get something going!
