I have coffee in hand, thanks.

Did a rewatch of Devils Advocate last night. Didn’t stand the test of time for me because now I notice:

Charlize overacting. I think it’s her first role? Maybe give her a pass? Nah.

Keanu can’t acting. That weird attempt at a southern accent killing me.

Pacino. What can I say. Dude is on point and perfect for the roll.

Still good with It’s minor annoyances will revisit in 20 years .

6.8/10

Looks like many of us are napping today. After going grocery shopping and eating my delightful meal, I went to nap at around 11am. Got up at 12, but was falling asleep. Back to bed until just now. Guess I am exhausted 🥱

I was very close, but I've deputised the cats to do it for me.🤭

i have a few regrets putting a heap of the old chilli crop from the freezer in the spring roll mix. It's still cooling I haven't rolled them up yet but when someone tells you "oh they lose heat'.. well I don't believe that anymore. Hawt.

dinner was two thin slices of steak and two slices of toast with PB and condensed milk. I shall next become horizontal in bed — an act that I have not performed for gasp 15 hours.

Ducked out early and picked up some chicken drumsticks. Not pleased that they went up on price amoungst other things.

Now I have to think about how to cook them and if I should combine them into a pasta sauce and eat it with pasta.

In other news the sun is glorious and nice and warm and I’m about to get some toast and make a real coffee

Roast then use the bones to make stock.

Low carb day today. Which is code for "oops, I forgot to pack the bread".

Breadless Breakfast

Coles texted me that my delivery couldn’t be made and to contact them. Gave me a small credit for it but they’ve still got hold of the main payment. /facepalm

Googled to double check it was the legit customer service number, talked to a robot on the phone who sent a chat link…

Clicked it and it did seem legit but the whole thing skeeved me out. Exited and used the online form which I should have done in the first place. I really don’t like texts about ‘issues’ with deliveries and being asked to click links to external sites. Even after asking a friend if it was safe Coles could really have gone about that in a less sus way. 😬

Thankfully I have enough to cover an urgent Woolies shop but I would rather they have just cancelled the order and refunded the money.

Woolies powdered milk has gone from $7 to $10. That's an increase of over 40%.

Couldn't sleep so I watched Babylon.

I fell asleep happy thereafter.

I have no idea why middle america got offended, it's what they want, it's what they vote for, it's who they are. Exploitation and amorality with no judgement . Reality is not pretty.

A mirror, a modern picture of dorian grey.

The dwarf on a cock pogo stick was inspired.

I give it 4.5 hobbitses.

Sorry I know it feels like I've talked about nothing but the same thing all day but I just came back from dinner and I will need a BIG sleep.

The world is ending, we have front row seats

I present to you Dinner tonight.

Pasta with chicken from drumsticks in bolognaise sauce.

Will freeze the drumstick bones and then make stock out of them after I’ve cooked them all.

All of a sudden I’m prompted to sign in to this instance every time I open it. ?? Why it be like that?

[–] [email protected] 6 points 2 years ago

Quite often it prompts me to do the same, but it seems to remember I'm already logged in after 5 seconds or so

I'm treating my family to some tipsy karaoke.

My kids are impressed with the lyrical delivery but not so much the execution.
