i use eternity as client and it does actually show a button for downvoting sometimes, despite me being on blahaj.zone, buttt when i downvote... lets say all of OPs comments, i get errors and nothing happens

It's definitely a thing that happens. I notice sometimes that I'll get 1 downvote across all my recent stuff, even the stuff that's super anodyne, like posting a link to a historical artifact when someone asks for it. Apparently, a space in their head is rent-free, and you're occupying it.

The fact that you noticed at all means that you are definitely experiencing paranoia. Reddit karma are worthless, and lemmy points are even less useful. Either engage or don't, stop caring about the votes.

But I've also noticed stuff like that simple because when I reply to a comment, I see the votes and notice there's always a weird single down vote on almost everything.
