The US is falling drastically behind OECD countries in mandating adequate wages, protections, and rights for millions of workers and their families. The wealthiest country in the world is near the bottom of every dimension of this index.

Only reason the US is the wealthiest country is because billionaires and corporations hoard and steal wealth from everyone.

The kids growing up today see that hard work has done nothing for their parents and their families.

The older generations lament that kids today have dream jobs of “streamer” and “influencer”, but do nothing that would actually make them change their minds.

And finally, that a not insignificant portion of women and men have turned to OnlyFans as a source of income.

Instead, they ignore the fact that jobs just don’t pay and the benefits are just not there for working class families.

Yeah I’m living as an engineer like a factory laborer 40 years ago. I can’t afford a child on a single income

A factory laborer 40 years ago could both feed and house their family plus send their kids to college on a single income.

I hope I can save up enough to send myself back to college…

yup. im in IT with a masters and I my janitor father owned a fully paid off house that is a mansion by its size nowadays and raised 7 kids on his single income. Meanwhile I barely get my wife and I by in our two bedroom place. Oh and don't get me wrong. Im doing incredibly well next to most of my peers (barring those who inherited or just dam lucky)

Yeah my wife and I combined could theoretically make as much as my ex father, but he has a house. Meanwhile we’re saving in the hopes that once my wife starts working again (severe depression for years) I might be able to try for a master’s degree without it being a disastrous decision. Add in that we’re gay in a red state so we’ve got a handful of places we can comfortably live without fear of harassment and they just so happen to be the expensive ones

Yeah my wife has a lot of medical issues and we are getting older so im just trying to figure out how we can keep going as we are and have not to bad an ending.

Canada is black for it now, not yellow. We have it worse than the states.

Both the CPC and Liberal parties are 100% a ramping up of temporary foreign worker programs in an effort to suppress compensation. The party that is supposed to champion workers rights, the NDP, is controlled by a 1%er who is completely lockstep with them on it.

USA - the best at being the worst.
