Interesting how Canada seems to be moving in lock step with us in the UK on this issue. Our left wing party is also showing increasing support for PR.

The Liberals are centre-right, especially in Nova Scotia. It's really interesting to see then pitch this, even if the odds of them following through are very low.
Our centre-left party was in power a decade ago or so, and PR is a corr party position. They didn't make a single move toward it during their term in office, and haven't come close to making government since.
I’m praying that make votes matter succeeds in getting the necessary electoral reform!
Oh man, this would be a real win for PR across the country. Any idea what type of PR they're pitching?
Hmm. Initially I confused this with New Brunswick, where the Liberals are in government. Currently in Nova Scotia, the Liberals are in a battle with the NDP for Official Opposition status. So, it's unlikely they'll become government.

I'm curious if the Nova Scotia NDP has made a similar promise. (checks...) Well, seems that the Nova Scotia NDP has not made a commitment to this. That's a shame, but regardless, if I was a Nova Scotia voter, I'd likely vote for the NDP anyway, since they generally seem more left wing than the Liberals.
Anyone know when the Nova Scotia election will happen?
