American oligarchs did that. Regular folks deserve some shame for not organizing and resisting harder, but I hope people abroad understand that.

To equivocate, I'm a guy who left America years ago because it's so bad there, and I don't see it getting better any time soon. I still vote, and I still don't think most Americans are bad. I just have a lower threshold than most for "fuck this I'm out".
