German here, I actively try to avoid companies supporting the Russian Economy like Pepsi and Müller Milch. It’s just very hard to keep track of it.

been doing my best in the states to boycott russian goods since 2012 when my boss traveled to Kyiv on his sabbatical. the people he was staying with said it was critically important to understand that wars are fought with bullets and bombs, but they're won with boots and boycotts. i remember it connecting with me on a deep level because it aligned with what i was doing as a queer person in the united states. the thing i've noticed is that the list of companies supporting russian violence against Ukraine and heteronormative violence against me is consistently the same.

the point of all this is that you are not alone. your messages of how this can all be handled has reached not enough people yet, but it has reached people. i endeavor to spread anti-hegemonic propaganda that encourages people to broaden their horizons and find solidarity with people with common ground to themselves because ultimately all of us resisting terror are in this together for the long haul. our greatest weapon is love, and our most powerful weapon are the arts.

i do not want your validation that what i'm doing is enough. i know it's not and i'm working to change that about myself. i just want you to know that your actions have rippled out to at least some of us who refuse to be compliant consumers. what you do matters to us because you matter to us. you are just another version of ourselves so far away that we've never met, and perhaps we never will, but the fact remains that somewhere deep down we share a spirit

Aussie here, I don't use any of those companies products, but just coincidentally. I guess there's no surprise that otherwise evil companies also continue to trade in Russia
