Would love to hear some recommendations especially if they are available in Canada. I've been chewing a lot of whatever the green and blue version of 5 gum is lately. 5 released a caffeinated version of their gum called respawn but I don't think it was ever sold in Canada.

my big brother always gave me a gum called abc gum when i was little and it was a very cool texture that ive never seen another brand do but fortunately my brother is dead so i cant ask him where he got that gum

Almost all chewing gum contains plastic, and as such stands to be a big source of microplastics in your body (and the environment, especially when not disposed of "properly").

In the US, companies are allowed to list "gum base" in the ingredients when the "gum base" could mean anything - but it almost always means PVA (polyvinylacetate; a plasticizer).

Some gum marketed to people who realize this uses chicle, as gum originally did, or some other non-plastic, but it needs to explicitly state this. "Gum base" = "not telling you" = undoubtedly chewing microplastics into your body.

I lowkey thought you meant the tomato sauce brand for a sec

"in 2003 in the United States, Wrigley's replaced some of the sugar with aspartame and Ace K, both artificial sweeteners."

Now all gum is shit.

Based on my dietary intake, guar.

The gum you like is going to come back into style.

If you haven't already you have to try Thrills! It advertises itself as "it still tastes like soap". Unique and old brand of chewing gum that I think everyone should try once. Shouldn't be too hard to find and it is certainly available in Canada.

Extra, the green mint is my favorite but every once in a while I'll pick a different color. To me, extra is the only gum where the flavor lasts longer enough to be worthwhile.

Recaldent, in grape flavour. Has CPP-ACP, for bonus reparative material.

It's a toss-up between Beeman's Clove and Black Jack

Wish they went back to chicle and somehow the flavor would last longer

There were these ice breakers(?) lemon cubes that were gum and they were so good

I love Wrigley's blueberry flavour gum! They're sugar free ones so they're less harmful to my teeth in the long run but I might be biased regarding the flavour since I absolutely love anything blueberry flavoured haha.

When I was a kid I would get Hubba Bubba Bubble Tape. That was fun stuff.

I'm a big spearmint guy. It used to be stride a while ago, but i just go with trident now because it's at costco

[–] BCsven 1 points 3 months ago

For a while I think trident had coffee flavoured gum, and orange flavour. They were both delicious
