Graphics cards are getting so big that they need their own case. 4 slots takes up the whole motherboard.

Graphic card sizes and power requirements are inversely proportional to the size of their customer's encephalon. As gaming became mainstream, the core audience of the 80s, 90s and 2000s was left behind in favour of fools that are easily parted with their money.
Hey my encephalon is tiny
:)
Pretty soon the CPU and GPU are going to swap places! Imagine all the cooling you can fit with an ATX sized GPU with a pcie slot for a NUC extreme like compute element on it!
I went from a 780ti to 4070ti in a new build, was no way I was getting it in my case with the CPU cooler on. Legit have maybe 3-5 mm clearance to the front of the case and the included support couldn't be mounted in my matx case, printed a support so at least it won't sag but it's unreal just how much larger of a card it is compared to what was (at least to me) a large card at the time.
I just realised that percentage wise this GPU had TDP growth that’s about the same as performance gains. Truly revolutionary stuff.
Also die area,
Phenomenal weight gains. This battleship can run hotter, louder, heavier, and cost you more.
If nvidia had their way it'd cost as much as one too.
Lol, this thing is €2200. giving birth at the hospital costs €580,51 according to google.
So it's even more expensive😂
Well, how else are you gonna keep 600 Watts reasonably cool?
