In a sane world, this headline reads: "How much do meat, dairy and eggs harm your liver?" The main way that plant-based diets improve health is by stopping the ongoing harm of consuming animal products.

Diet: the kinds of food that a person, animal, or community habitually eats.

🤔

@Letstakealook exactly.

Vegan: Lifestyle which tries to avoid as much animal exploitation as possible

That doesn't change the fact that a vegan diet is a thing and exists, whether in the framework of a lifestyle or not. Especially when the topic is food and nutrition. Liver health is not particularly reliant on the wearing of leather jackets.

No, there isn't "a" vegan diet. Do you suppose all vegans eat alike? Each of the uncountable diets we might consider may or may not be compatible with veganism, and which of them are or are not vegan is situational. It was vegan to use animals to provide insulin to diabetics once, and now it is not.

Is "not drinking alcohol" a diet, in your mind?

What are you on about? Eating within a certain framework is a vegan diet. Diets can be individual, as in the definition. This is really through the looking glass over a very basic word.

@Letstakealook Ok.

Vegan is for the animals. Not for you. It's a nice goodie that we can have health benefits but that's not the goal or the reason for being vegan

That literally had nothing to do with the topic at hand.
