It's detailed for those who are curious about the logistics, but I think it also risks a bit of information overload. Use as you see appropriate.

It was created by @[email protected] and I remember it helping explain things around the time I joined.

That's outdated. feddit.de is offline, feddit.org is it's successor.

Too much on there to be easily accessible, and although I share the artist's disdain for Spez and Musk, they needn't be mentioned in documentation meant to explain the Fediverse in a simple, understandable, straightforward manner.

It does seem needlessly petty. I know a lot of people have come to these communities because of those two, but that doesn't have to define these communities going forward.

Most people don't care about these things. I believe the mainstream people need to understand that you can own your information. The problem is more and more people don't care about their privacy and there's a whole generation that has been so accustomed to sharing everything with the corpos.

Most people mix privscy with anonymity rather than a "need to know basis". Hell, my neighbors still say "I have nothing to hide" but that's not that point and a better response is needed for the Fediverse and its future.

I might be remembering wrong, but I think they defederated from almost everyone for various reasons and then starved for content, so it's basically dead.

Low level of activity I would say
