8. Misinformation is prohibited.

9. No link shorteners.
The auto mod will contact you if a link shortener is detected, please delete your post if they are right.
10. Don't copy entire article in your post body

I don't wanna be that guy, but these pilots and planes gotta keep flying for training and logging proper hours. If it wasn't this, it was going to be something else.
Still deplorable, but it's hard to say that this specific action incurred the high cost of the flight. A flight of some form or another on this same plane was going to need to happen anyway.
Yeah but that's under the DOD budget, not the ICE budget. It's okay we'll just cut troop pay again, they'll understand...

Keep in mind how little taxes he paid, and you know why he does not care about government wasting money. He simply has no stake in it.
While you're correct, another option would be to use that money to help his fellow countrymen, but apparently that isn't American.
Which is exactly why they are going to stop doing it and either use immigrants as slave labor or just concentrate them at Gitmo until they decide that a Final Solution to the Immigrant Question is the most cost-effective strategy.

Sadly, I am aware. That's why I sad the Gitmo thing. But they won't be able to keep them there forever and they will not spend this kind of money deporting them all, so there are really only two choices they will make since letting them go isn't something they're willing to consider: slave labor or death.
They would have to fly, or ship them to Gitmo too. I can't imagine that being any cheaper.

How can people not see where things are going
The announced plan is to build new facility with a capacity for 30,000, on the other side of the Guantanamo Bay from the existing prison.
Assume that they can see where things are going, and that enough of them are okay with that.
That's what we should be reacting to.
A U.S. official, speaking to Reuters on condition of anonymity, estimated the cost to operate a C-17 military transport aircraft is $28,500 per hour.
Or instead of making up fake officials, you could google "Fixed Wings and Helicopter Reimbursement Rates 2025", look up C-17A and see that the hourly rate is $19,862.
Your gotcha is that it only cost $3000 per person to deport them?
