I'm more amazed by Woolworths still being in the a thing! They had the weirdest lunch counter when I was a kid.

Woolworths in Australia has no relation to the US chain, they just share a name.

I meant Canada, where they closed in the 80's. No idea of the heritage.

I'm old and yet I barely remember. They were the first big chain to go in Canada. Quickly followed by Simpson's.

Remember how WorkChoices was "voluntary"? My Mum "voluntarily" took a massive paycut to keep her job when that was introduced.
