It's in the second paragraph:
The order, titled “Keeping Men Out of Women’s Sports,” gives federal agencies wide latitude to ensure entities that receive federal funding abide by Title IX in alignment with the Trump administration’s view, which interprets “sex” as the gender someone was assigned at birth.
Lol! They are planning on cutting all of that funding anyway...
Good old federal funding, the arm that never stops getting twisted.
Looks like Trump is considering his Executive Orders law now, without first having to go through Congress
They kinda are until the next president comes along.
You have a lot more faith in what tatters are going to be left of our Democratic institutions in four years than I do my friend. I don't know that we'll ever get to vote for another President ever again.
We'll probably get to "vote" in the same way Russians get to "vote". You know, 90% turnout, 90% of that for the "correct" party...
So glad that our long national nightmare is over.
I wasn't aware that a President had to set policy on....sports? Aren't there other people involved? State level rights?
And that phukkin' photo op, jaysus. Some of those grinning women in there....WTAF.
I hope Riley Gaines develops a vulva itch that can never be soothed so she has to go through the day fighting the urge to scoot across the carpet like a pet with worms. Any place that doesn't just ignore this should just say fuck it and make one sport for everyone, split by ability.
