It really doesn't, and that's a problem. It has like 2 feet of crumple zone in the front so anything head on above 40mph is going to snap your friggin neck.

Well that is by design, crumple zones for energy displacement. But I do love seeing them totaled.

this, and also the swastitruck poorly executes them, it actually doesnt crumple as it should and that makes it that much more unsafe. IIRC it doesnt pass any collision safety standard.

probably get sliced in half by the cybertruck parts flying at you.

Interesting hypothesis based on this case study. I propose we test it with a sample size of a few thousand.

I mean yeah. I hate nazi mobiles like every one but it would be an issue if it didn't do that on impact.

That said when they were first announced and talking about using SpaceX spaceship steel it sounded like it wouldn't have crumple zones.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 23 hours ago

That was never going to happen.

On the other hand perhaps that issue would address other issues.

All modern cars crumple and that's a good thing.

Wait, aren't windshields supposed to be either tempered or laminated? How in the hell is a huge shard able to be broken off like that?!

It seems if the locking doors don't ensure you cook in the event of a fire, the windshield will cut your entire head off. Great safety standards there!

Edit: as someone pointed out it's probably the reflection of that traffic light. Hating the cuck truck is cool, but quashing disinfo is much cooler 😎

I think that's just the reflection of a traffic light.

Ah, you may be right. I can see it now!

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 day ago

Pretty sure that’s the windshield wiper. If it isn’t then where’s the wiper, it’s usually on that side

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 day ago

You're right, I do feel a little safer knowing fewer people with give money to Elon.

Maybe I'm dumb, but where do you see a piece of the windshield missing?

Ah thanks! I thought I was looking at the windshield wiper

[–] [email protected] 2 points 22 hours ago

That is the windshield wiper.
