I've always found it weird that its called "GoDaddy" and I've never heard anyone question it. Like why on earth is that the name of the company?

GoDaddy was teaching master classes on enshittification before that was even an idea.
Oooh, that explains so much. I had to switch the provider after many happy years with them and found a new home at Hetzner.
GoDaddy has been horrible forever.
Okay, I have no opinion on the whole but European thing… but OVH is garbage.
I’ve never used hetzner but I’ve heard nothing but good things. If I were to go European, that would be my choice.
Why? I don't know much about these services but I bought a domain on OVH. No issues so far but would like to know if I might get some in the future...
OVH is notorious for bad support. I believe they might also have uptime issues.
I've spent way too much time and effort on OVH first line support. But then again, I've seen worse supports as well.
I've also had quite a lot uptime issues on all of their zones, but this was several years ago. Mainly their networking randomly going out.
I left GoDaddy back in the Charles Dickens days of the interwebs. Absolutely, GTFO of there.
I am super happy with Uberspace if you need a simple host.
siteground has been a blessing after starting out in godaddy and getting out. Some of the best support I have had as well for wordpress hosting. I spit in the general direction of Godaddy any chance i can get
