This community is also on Matrix and Discord, but those spaces are not managed by the moderation team here.
It sounds like a great community to create, to be honest. I guess certain questions could go into [email protected] or [email protected] but I think gaming suggestions is distinct enough to warrant its own community. And since it's gaming related it should be able to garner enough activity even at the current MAU level.
On the other, there are a few communities that can help with some genres
It might be easier to ask recommendations on those specific communities than on a new one

No, I don't think so. On one hand I'd love to see this, r/gamingsuggestions is one of the few things I still look at Reddit for, on another I'm not sure how much activity it would see right now.
I would be in interested as well, for an android specific one even more.
