After reading the headline I thought it's about Shoes that are made from plastic trash are now found in the ocean. I was rather relieved after reading the text :-)

You can make Pi sized shoes and make them and I'm sure it will happen without doubt. Make those fuckers 4E and fucking no. No, you'll fucking never do that. Spits on the ground.

Hi from Portugal, my wife and I have a couple pairs of these. Super comfortable, and youโ€™re helping pay to clean Portuguese beaches!

Some bullshit there's no 7.5 mens

Did the freightliner carrying the plastic trash shoes to port sink or something?

Ok? Is that product biodegradable? Or if it gets put in the ocean does it become the 2nd generation material for these shoes?

Why would they put the shoes back in the ocean?

Why did that turtle end up with a straw in his nose? Humans are the worst thing that has happened to the earth.

It's up cycled trash. So it help reduce the use of virgin plastic. But it's only slightly better than plastic shoes

Yeah, it's a weird concept that I'm not sure how I feel about it...

On the one hand, I'm paying towards something which makes cleaning the ocean more cost effective

On the other hand, when I'm done with the shoes... do I... burn them?

What do you do with your shoes in general when you're done with them? I don't understand how that process would be any different with these shoes. The point is only that they are made from plastic found at the beaches of Portugal and organic material (cotton). When you buy them, you use them just like any other shoes.

No, you hand them in for recycling.

We have a lot of existing plastic. Until we can destroy it without harming the climate, the best we can do is re-use it and not make more. What's the alternative, have it sit in a dump somewhere poisoning the earth and seeping into underground water?
