!nostupidquestions is a community dedicated to being helpful and answering each others' questions on various topics.
The rules for posting and commenting, besides the rules defined here for lemmy.world, are as follows:

More Tor friendly instances would be nice. Most Lemmy instances use things like Cloudflare that freak out over Tor connections so just registering/logging into the instance is a PITA, let alone browsing. Extra bonus if the instance actually hosts the Lemmy instance in Tor itself (though realistically the rest of the Lemmy instance would still run on the clearnet since it still needs to communicate with the rest of the Fediverse).
Interesting point. I'll take .onion into consideration, as I'm a bit of a privacy-enthusiast. Unfortunately, too many "privacy enthusiasts" just want to trade CSAM, so it's a balancing act.

Well, even one is too many, and the number is much higher than one, so it still seems like a valid concern when running a service
Remember, if CSAM gets on your instance, you could be in legal trouble.

I know. I'm seriously considering making it invite-only, or ask nicely via Matrix. No e-mail needed, but joining won't be easy either.
And with two rules:
- Don't behave in a way that results in a ban.
- Common sense applies.
I don't think there is a huge need at the moment. Things will probably develop naturally. E.g. if some communities find they would like one, they would start one, with rules, blocks, membership, financing that fits their needs.

Do you mean communities? I'm a certified technocrat myself, so I'm all in favor of more knowledgefight, but my question is more about instances/servers. Decentralization is always good, but I was just wondering if Lemmy is already decentralized "enough" based on its current usage stats. (Although I do wish more people would use something else than lemmy.world, but I don't think available options is the problem)
Ya larger umbrella communities would be sweet but to the real point I'm based out of lemmy .ca and haven't noticed anything worth complaining about and as long I can see similar posts across all available instances I wouldn't turn down thing being a bit more decentralized
