Didn't plan to buy one, before the S2 was announced.
The number of anti consumer actions they take is amazing. They still hate YouTube. Instead of making their games not suck, they sue anyone who dares to try. They have a handful of console exclusive that even interest me, everything else I'll get in Steam and it'll play better, have cloud save, and a refund policy.
I bought a NES in the 80s because it was the most amazing, magical thing. Now I'm at the point of 'Fuck Nintendo, let it fall'

Loud person who makes their entire personality disliking Nintendo tells you not to buy Nintendo without highlighting any good reasons, just focusing on easy to hate on reasons.

This video has been doing the rounds but if I remember correctly they are overly negative and are obviously not the target for Nintendo and have no intention of buying the Switch even before all the controversy.
Ive been a nintendo fan my entire childhood and early adult life. I would say i am (at least clasically) nintendos target audience. I agree with the sentiments in the video. Nintendo is doing a lot of shitty consumer hostile things and people forking up ever increasing prices for decade old games will only validate their business practices and quality will further decay (like the games industry in general). That is essentially what he is saying. I will not buy the switch 2 (this video did not change my stance either way)
Granted his overly negative rant was a bit tiresome, it felt like he was impersonating the angry nintendo nerd without the comedy. But that just feels like any other yt video rant these days
I agree with the overall negativity Nintendo has brought upon themselves but videos like this are, like you say, tiresome and disingenuous from the creator.
Nintendo bad, so don't support Nintendo.
That's about it. I didn't finish it either, but I heard the rant and figured I wasn't missing much by not finishing.

Completely agree. They burnt all their goodwill in the past few years. I have no interest in the company and the products.

Me, not being a little baby man, am going to buy one at some point because I want to play the Zeldas and the Marios and no one is gonna keep me from enjoying those games when they come out—and I’m still gonna emulate on my Retroid ‘cause fuck Big Gaming.

I haven't decided yet, because it's not available yet. Once it's available, I'll check reviews and whatnot to decide whether to purchase it. Maybe I will, maybe I won't, it depends on a bunch of factors.
Yeah, Nintendo sucks right in the legal department. But whether I buy their products has less to do with their legal department and more to do with the quality of the product.
I'm getting one on launch. Love my OG switch and got many cherished hours of gaming out of it.

I never bought a Switch. Thought about it, but never got around to it. I guess I'm just not the target audience.
Though now in thinking about it, I bet I can pick up a good condition used Switch on the cheap once this comes out. Maybe I'll get the first gen Switch after all!
I bought a Switch back in the day. Beat BotW and that was fun. Barely touched it since.

OK. Never bought anything from Nintendo, so that's not a great sacrifice.
They didn't even fix the annoying joystick issues.
