It's an extra step, but I really like URLCheck on fdroid. Any time I click on a YouTube link, it gives me the option to open in NewPipe.

MODERATORS
When I tried URLCheck last year, somehow all I could get was the opposite: all other links required an extra step before I could open them in Firefox, whereas YouTube links went straight through to official YouTube app (when I wanted them to go to PipePipe).
Maybe I should try it again and see if I can get it working right this time.
