Isn't there also something about that you can shoot trespassers in self-defence?

[–] [email protected] 7 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Good luck getting the next cops to have a reasoned discussion about what happened after you shoot the trespassing one

There are only that many cops in an area

I'll apply my Coloradan Make My Day law to any warrantless Gestapo.

Bought 12 gauge slugs recently and some extra 9mm rounds. It's not much, but fuck anyone trying to get in.

12ga slugs and 5.56 go through most police body armors.

the NRA was wholly comprimised by the Kremlin almost a decade ago, The majority of them are on the side of Trump, not constitutional rights. Maria Butina is a hero of the Russian Federation/Mafia

https://www.thedailybeast.com/leaked-memo-donald-trumps-ice-breaking-into-homes-without-warrant/

https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/25915967-doj-march-14-memo-alien-enemies-act/#document/p1

From https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2025/04/25/trump-venezuelan-gang-deportations-alien-enemies-act/83253074007/

Legal experts examined the document that reveals the following:

  • It provides directives to front-line officers apprehending suspected Tren de Aragua members, suggesting officers obtain a warrant of apprehension and removal “as much as practicable.” Those administrative warrants are signed by immigration officers, not judges like criminal warrants.
  • Due to a “dynamic nature of law enforcement procedures” officers are free to "apprehend aliens" based on their “reasonable belief” they meet the definitions, the memo states.
  • It purports to grant authority for police to enter a suspected "Alien Enemy’s residence" if “circumstances render it impracticable” to first obtain a warrant.

The memo told law enforcement that immigrants deemed "Alien Enemies" are “not entitled to a hearing, appeal or judicial review.”

But I was just following orders

I cant believe we haven't seen more yet.. if ice can just raid any home and arrest judges, if they can take married moms (to a full American, i might add) from their babies at 5 in the morning and deport them to cuba, if they can kidnap vulnerable children and those with sickness....

When, OH when do we finally say we have had enough to not take the tyranny anymore? Where is our second amendment?

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

Tbh, the 4th amendment hasn't meant jack-shit since before 9/11, hell, probably before the war on drugs. This is just the latest chip away from the right to not have your person and properly be arbitrarily searched or seized. There are so many exceptions and workarounds for the cops to do a search without needing to obtain a warrant, and too many cases where the law just hasn't caught up to recognize a search as a search (especially concerning searches of digital information). In fact, terrifyingly, most people that I've talked to about this seemed to have the impression that the cops can perform a search if there's probable cause. NO! The cop needs a warrant from the courts, it's the court's job to decide if there is probable cause. At least it should be - like I said, that particular separation of power has been whittled away at for decades.

"b..b..but they're the 'good' guys" (they're hurting the 'right' people and they'd never do that to me)
