Found it in my pool while I was getting it ready for summer. Rehomed it to the neighbor's pond where it will have lots of turtle friends.

I have severe grievances with the name of this turtle and the damage it has caused but they are very cute. For those who do not know and would rather not wish to see extreme deformation of animals through human ignorance I will describe with words what I am talking about.

When turtles are young some people will paint their shell so that they sell better, this causes their shell to stop growing. The Turtle does not stop growing.
This might have became a thing without the name of this turtle but there is no way it helps.
Oh wtf :( people’s cruelty and ignorance knows no bounds.
Here I thought it was because their little natural red carapace spots look “painted” on.
