The funny thing about MST3K the movie is that the move they riffed, This Island Earth...while still hilariously cheesy and dated, was actually a hit and successful movie in its day. I own a copy of it and it's still pretty enjoyable. I hate remakes but that movie would be interesting to do an update for, but only if they include a couple low-key Easter eggs acknowledging MST3k. Like Exeter having an actual picture of a burger on his office wall.
Many of the best MST3k episodes (Manos notwithstanding) are decent enough B movies, they're just very mockable.
Gotta be careful with that stuff!
