Oooo spicy, but also true. He's in a really clear headspace about this, especially given his age

FFS, "between Lando and me". Grammar, folks. Use it.
I got curious..
Many people use the object case even when the subject case would seem to be more appropriate, especially in spoken English:
Who went to the store? He and I. <-- Subject case matches "who".
Him and me. <-- Very common.
So it seems you aren't in really deep water using "I" here, or am I misinterpreting?
The above fetched from here.
I'm not a native speaker, so don't hang me for not knowing.
Well this is the opposite, where people have overcorrected from being told it's always "and I". Since it's the object of the sentence, it really should be "and me" here. In a way it's akin to replacing "Lando and I" with "we", which obviously is completely wrong here.
