Explanation: The US's reason for rebelling against the Brits - that we were taxed without being represented in parliament - was legitimate... but the offense does ring a little mild in comparison to the treatment many other holdings of the British Empire suffered under.

More like "Dude I hate Britian, they told me i have to stop killing natives and taking their land"

The "funny"(if we phrase it this way) thing is even ireland, a european country, got completely decimated by the uk. The british were not fucking around.

India: Tax your stamps? Dude, they were taxing our salt.

but why is the American flag over an Australian? I mean, it’s not like we Brits didn’t fuck them over too, but some accuracy would be nice

Meme templates are often divorced from the details of the original picture. Else you could also point out that this isn't Mel Gibson complaining about how hard his life is to soon-to-be-crucified Jesus, but Mel Gibson as director talking with one of the actors he's directing.

Yeah, and Jesus wasn't from India, Kenya, Ireland, or South Africa! This meme is literally unplayable.

True. He was from Brunei and was all about pay to win.

That's the Irish flag I believe. Côte d'Ivoire was a French colony - the clue's in the name. Same colours, different order.

Oops, you're right, I didn't notice the color position!

Easy mistake to make, especially in the context - Britain scooped up quite a few African countries. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scramble_for_Africa

But they practised on Ireland first... https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plantations_of_Ireland
