Well it looked juicy, fruity, sugary to me, I did not try it. In this hot, dry, rocky landscape, this juicy wonder really sticks out.

Location is Sardinia.

Arum, likely the Italian Arum given the region. Unfortunately it's quite poisonous, despite the tasty appearance.

Oh ok, thank you. It was really kinda tempting to try it, haha. At least some animals seem to like it though, I also saw some complete ones with red berries on it, but this was the biggest one I saw, coconut size.

Not all nightshades are deadly. Some are just unlucky to be part of a deadly family name
