It's not true for me. Since this post was made, every other post and comment I made I have to consciously pick English. When I didn't because I forgot, I went back to edit and change to English. It doesn't save to English and keep defaulting to the first enabled language.
Yeah, and we should tune it some more. In my opinion it should also pick the language of a parent post or comment, once I reply to something. I believe as of now it defaults on the last used language from whatever was the last post or comment.

I agree with this. This seems most sensible if the option to set default post language isn't pursued. I think it's better that way, even.

That's the weird thing, and why I thought this is another bug. I've been posting in English whenever I post. It's just today that I noticed it changed again like the bug with Portuguese. That bug weirded my out thinking there was a federation issue since I can see my posts and comments when logged out. Turns out it's a bug and posts not showing is working as intended because I never enabled showing Portuguese posts.
But this time it's like how I described. I even changed in settings to Afaan Oromoo, 1 behind Hangul I believe, and yes, the language bar at the bottom right corner below the comment box changed to that as well. Currently, my first enabled language is Bahasa Indonesia.
