It’s been made abundantly clear that Apple under Tim Cook is money first, money second, and everything else if we feel like it.

Whenever the art form is allowed to thrive, like Apple TV, it’s still only a means to an end. The end being, “Give us all your money.”

Maybe it’s a bit of a nothing burger but I generally close all the ads in Wallet anyway without looking at them. They’re usually for their branded card or savings account and I just X them out. I just checked and I don’t have any ads which probably means I closed that one out without looking or caring.

That Apple can be trusted in ways that other “big tech” companies cannot.

Most big tech are data brokers / ad companies first. Apple makes money on huge premiums as well as nickel and diming their customers. I prefer Apple way out of those evils.
