The bill itself is unsurprising and uninteresting. What is interesting is the title and description written by the bill's sponsors (Claudia Tenney R-NY, Dan Crenshaw R-TX).

"To deny tax deductions and other Federal funding..."

These congressmen think tax deductions are Federal funding. If they did not think this way, they would have left out the word other in their description.

Are tax deductions not a form of federal funding? The Feds are forgoing future income to aid in funding an initiative, I don't see how that is meaningfully different from a subsidy. Obviously this bill is disgusting and transphobic, but I'm not sure what point you are trying to make with this post.
