I use a third party app on my phone, and old.reddit on the desktop. Never could get used to 'new' and don't like how the screen real estate is on it. Ad block for the home network AND Ublock Origin on mobile and desktop are a must have for me.

Neither. I was banned from /r/Android because I prefer a Google Pixel over a Samsung device (yay, corrupt mods!)

I forgot, and I commented using one of my many alts. I was temporarily suspended from Reddit as a whole for "ban evasion".

My friends visited, who have Reddit accounts, and when they connected to my WiFi Reddit immediately perma-banned ALL of us, including all of my brand accounts for my company.

Reddit allowing random strangers to essentially get you perma-banned because you prefer a different phone is ridiculous. 🥲

I use the #Infinity app on #Android, it's on #Fdroid so it's open source.

App 98% of the time. If I can't use Apollo, I won't use reddit anymore. The website sucks and the official app is garbage now.

I prefer to do everything in the desktop, so I usually used old reddit with Reddit Enhancement Suite. When I'm out and about, I might scroll reddit a bit on the Boost app for Android. I don't want to use their official app or new reddit at all.

I've never used something different than Reddit is Fun (RIF for Fun now, I guess?) on Android for private use and the 'normal' web version if I Google something for work and end up on Reddit.

I mostly use Infinity for Reddit (where Jerboa for Lemmy clearly draws a lot of inspiration from)

Sometimes I also use reddit on my PC but the site is horrible there and the old site, while not as buggy, doesn't look great.

Reddit is Fun on Android mobile, old.reddit on desktop with RES. The design of new Reddit is atrocious, they only show 3 comments so you have to click more and the ads are obnoxious. The official app is pushed on you as much as possible and is used as the default for opening browser links, even if you tell it otherwise in the device settings. I uninstalled it because it didn't like coexisting with RiF.

I do both, and when mobile I use Boost on Android. I assume they will also be affected by this so my Reddit time will be reduced quite a bit.

I use Apollo 99% of the time... ( RIP alien blue ) and old.reddit 1% of the time. I REFUSE to use the official reddit app as it is literal hot garbage and i'd rather have 1,000 root canals than to use it even for a second.

Not thrilled about starting over and finding a new alternative but I've done it in the past (RIP Digg) so bring it. I hope reddit burns to the ground for this.

Redreader is my go-to on mobile

I mostly use a few different clients on iOS. Not the official one which, like New Reddit, is utterly awful.

Once Lemmy gets a good stable iOS client I will mostly be here, I guess.

I comment too much for my own good, and phone keyboards aren't enjoyable for me.

Web on desktop with uBlock, Apollo on iOS. Third-party apps are being effectively banned soon though as they want $20 million per year from third-party app developers.

Mostly Infinity on mobile

90% of the time mobile via RIF, the remainder is desktop with old reddit + RES. Once the API apocalypse hits it will be 0% of the time mobile, and we'll see if I even bother on the desktop after that.

@sexy_peach Web on the desktop RedReader on the phone. I'm yet to see what's going on after the API policy changes come into place, and how will I adapt.

If I'm at work, I use old.reddit on Safari. Between that and adblock, it's fine(ish). But I'd say a good 80% of my use is through Apollo on my phone. Yesterday's news was not welcome at all.

Mostly mobile , I was using Apollo and RIF . I hate the official app . The whole UI is a mess .

App 95% of the time, I always used Reddit Is Fun, after it goes down I'm out.

I pay for Reddit Premium for desktop ad-free experience, and use Apollo for mobile. If Apollo goes, I will not be browsing Reddit on the go and will probably end up cancelling my Premium subscription as well. Might as well start donating to my adopted Lemmy community.

Hopefully, Apollo adds support for Lemmy.

On phone I use Infinity for Reddit. Don't know if I will use their app, when 3rd-party-clinents won't work anymore.

I only use Apollo, I can’t stand the website. I’m testing out Lemmy and Kbin as alternatives given the API news. I used to be an avid Alien Blue user and am still livid Reddit bought it only to completely kill it off and release a completely different and much worse app experience.

Apollo on mobile, and old.reddit on desktop. But I think I’ll be gone once Apollo is not allowed to function any longer.

I use old.reddit maybe 20% of the time and the RIF app on android about 80%. If I had the time I'd definitely be trying to build a RIF style app for Lemmy now that I've started to dip my toes in

I use old.reddit on Desktop, Infinity on mobile and Apollo on my tablet. When Reddit finally shuts down their API for free users then I will be gone.

At home I use the web...away from home I use Apollo.

I used to use RedReader and Slide for Reddit, but I've mostly given up on my account and currently use Libreddit to view posts anonymously.

I use old reddit on desktop mainly. Probably 60-70% of my redditing is on desktop. The other 30-40% is on mobile, via Apollo on iOS.

Anyway, 99% of my modding is done on desktop. And 99% of that is on old reddit. New reddit does have some nice features for modding that I use every once in awhile. I've tried to switch to new reddit a handful of times (just for my own general browsing), but I could never stick with it.
