They can ask all they want but I won't answer them or listen to them. I have zero responsibility to assist them with their job. They can pull their records of the receipts to look them over if they wish.

This is a common practice in Costco.

Costco however is a private membership. You agree to be stopped as part of the terms and conditions of your membership. Loblaws has no such agreement so you're free to ignore them. And they're free to trespass you and refuse to do business as well.

Loblaws doesn't have paid memberships that customers agree to where this practice is part of the membership
