To be honest, boxer briefs are the best underwear.
I wear them so when I accidentally shit myself, the turd juice doesn't escape my underwear. Also I look sexy. Girl friend doesn't say much.
I wear briefs or boxer briefs while out and about. Why? Cause I don't like my junk bouncing about while I'm active. I'm not straight, so I can't answer the latter..but sitting at home with my cat and a good movie or book... sweatpants and free balls all the way.
ngl doing jumping jacks while wearing boxers does make me question my hardline pro-boxer stance.

I wear briefs because are more comfortable (to move) and cheaper.
I see the boxers as fake and uncomfortable shorts.
I wear both, but briefs are crucial for preserving thighs and the dangly bits during long-distance running. That is objectively beneficial. Subjectively, my partner likes the view.

My genitals feel very uncomfortable in boxers; they swing around too much and it distracts me.
