edit: since many seem to be confused: he doesn’t use the Apple logo anywhere on his website (you can check above) or in his videos — Apple is upset because the iPhones shown in his videos have the Apple logo on the back of the device which can be seen in the video while he’s repairing it.

In the letter from Apple’s law firm, they have specifically asked him to stop repairing Apple devices.

They sent him a letter telling him to stop using the Apple logo in his videos and to stop trying to pass his videos off as official repairs. Big whoop.

Also the lawyers only reminded or informed him of what his own country’s penalties were for if he was found guilty of doing the thing he was clearly doing constantly on camera.

Apple wouldn’t be putting him in jail, his breaking the law and his country would if he was found guilty. Wtf kind of article is this?

He’s not passing them off as official repairs (although he does use genuine parts whenever those parts are still in circulation).

Are you saying repair videos should blur the parts of the device’s enclosure where the logo appears? This seems excessive

He's acting like they're trying to shut him down whereas in reality they want him to stop using their trademarks.

This is only news because he's got a big social media following.

You can't use trrademarks of other companies without their permission, who knew 🤷‍♂️

In one of the Spanish language articles the letter was posted where it does ask him to stop repairing Apple devices.

What? No, obviously not. I'm just responding to the article you posted where they ask him not to use their trademarks. I've seen lots of 3rd party repair shops use the Apple logo which is what gets the legal team on you, I assume this is what's happening here.

I assume this is what's happening here.

And you’d be wrong. You can check out his website or videos and see he never uses the logo anywhere

Well then I'm wrong 🤷‍♂️ I guess Apple don't like him getting so big. Good luck to him, he'll need it.
