Anything can be a game if you want but your game should pause the timer during loading screens or people running NVMe will have an unfair advantage over those with HDDs.
I love nonogram type games. Nonogram Katana on Android has a lot of really cool user created puzzles.
Not that Picross isn't a game, but there are speedruns of Microsoft Excel. I'm not convinced something having a speedrun proves it's status as a game.
I love Picross! It's so relaxing, but I haven't played in a while due to my 3DS power button being broken.
Surely the consolerepair sub has migrated here! Lol.
Picross is my life whenever a new one comes out on the switch. Hope they bring back the 3D picross at some point, those were a neat change, and I think the current gen of games have kinda stagnated :(
Picross 3d round 2 is legit one of my favorite games of all time. It's so insanely good it is criminal they haven't made another 3d one

I’m still picking my way through the DS game, it feels like super chill Minesweeper 😁 Knowing there’s SO MANY MORE Picross games pleases me for when I eventually finish this one. Love that there’s translation patches for all the Japan-only entries now as well. Will end up throwing some of them on the trust Retroid Pocket 3!

Nonograms were you also have to take color into account (like Pic-a-Pix Deluxe) makes a great game even better imho.
I miss Pokémon Picross. That game was SO funnnn
You can still sideload it on a hacked 3DS, with a program you can have unlimited lives
I still have my 3DS XL in a closet which should have it installed. I'd love to play it on a different system though, I should look into some emulation options!

I was really sad the day I completed the last Picross S game on Switch. I had run out. I was playing in bed to unwind my brain at the end of the day. Found a clown on Steam that’s decent, but my Steam Deck is too big to play lying down in bed comfortably. 😥
I found Picross Katana on Android, it's really great
