If Aaron Donald couldn't win it then we can rule out all non-QB players from the MVP discussion. Nothing will ever be enough.

Is Tua out after these losses
Kinda bull shit I don’t see Dobbs on this list
How exactly is the guy with the most total touchdowns that’s just behind the rest record wise not even close?
If not for deflections leading to fluke picks Hurts would be leading this by a mile lol
I'm actually surprised Lamar is in the running. Imo he's playing like an MVP but he's also playing with low volume and high efficiency which is usually a death sentence for MVP voting which is usually more about gaudy numbers than actual high level play.
Hot take but Mahomes should be nowhere near it so far
cmc should get mvp. It’s about time a qb doesn’t win it.
If the chiefs get the #1 seed it should go to Taylor swift
Mahomes looks like shit this year what the fuck are they talking about?
Unironically people are sleeping on stroud. If he leads the Texans to a win this week (which is a huge if) I think he gets it.
How is this not CMC’s reward to lose? On pace for 2,000 total yards, 26 total TDs, and Niners should still get a top 3 seed. In a year without a QB separating themselves from the pack I feel like that should get it.
If any of you are gamblers I think Herbert at +15000 is outrageous value.
He should get the splint off his finger next week and I wouldn't be surprised if he goes on a tear down the stretch.
Now is it likely that he does enough to prove himself as MVP? No, but in a weak year I think the odds are a lot more likely than +15000.
Feel like cousins was out playing all these guys ( although lamar been good this past month) sucks what coulda been for the guy
If we get first seed it’s hurts to lose
I haven’t seen many games from Hurts and Lamar, but I don’t see why Mahomes is even considered. He’s been so mediocre all season.
Fuck it, Howell for MVP
Shroud has outperformed all 3
But like. What about defensive players or non-qb players? Myles Garrett is having a hell of a year and Tyreek hill is on track for eclipsing 2000 yarda
If stroud leads texans to division title and finishes with 4,200-34-1, which is possible, he's gotta win
Just gonna say it: this is a crappy MVP year.
Mahomes shouldn't be in the MVP race.
Unfortunately for lamar I just don't think they will give mvp to a qb on pace for 20 touchdown passes. I think he has been the most consistent of those three this year, though. His only bad games have been mediocre at worst.
If Josh Allen keeps his TOs in check, I could see him winning it. Same could be said for Jalen Hurts too
I’m going to freak the fuck out if a non-QB gets it this year when Coop didn’t get serious consideration in 2021.
Fucking salt in my veins
Give it to one of Myles Garrett, TJ Watt, CMC or Tyreek Hill. Of course that’ll never happen because it’s a QB award but this is year is the best chance of any
People seem to be having a hard time understanding these are odds for the end of the season. They are banking on Mahomes starting to play better. Not current body of work.
If a WR or player other than QB ever had a chance to win MVP, this would be the year. As good as Lamar, Burrow, etc have been there’s nobody that’s run away with the race. AJ Brown, Tyreek, Myles Garrett should all be in the discussion in my opinion.
I know there's a lot of football left, but so far this seems like the perfect season to award MVP to a non-QB.
I'd bet on Josh Allen if he lowers his turnovers, cause his production and TD's are fantastic.
If not, then probably Jalen Hurts gets his first if the eagles win 15 games.
Lamar is on pace for 20 passing TD's, hasn't finished a season lately, and is in the brutal AFC North, so I don't like his chances.
Chiefs defense is too good, and Andy is really shitty with the offense and a lead. 155 points in the 1st half this season, 53 points in the 2nd half. They're going to get a 1st half lead a lot and coast, and Mahomes gonna have not amazing numbers (for him).
Tua still has a decent shot and could certainly light it up, but they kinda suck against good teams, so not sure.
What’s crazy I don’t even consider Lamar that special compared to previous MVP candidates. His MVP season and this year don’t even compare to the likes of Rodgers, Brady, Mahomes, Warner, or Manning. You’re telling me his seasons are comparable to those guys? Give me a break. There is nothing that special about Lamar that wows me that makes me consider him an MVP of any kind.
The Mahomes odds make sense. 2x MVP and been in the conversation every year as a starter, the odds aren't going to fluctuate wildly; history will keep him up there in the minds of the bookmakers until the very end.
As long as neither Hurts or Mahomes pick it up in the second half of the season, I think Lamar has a good chance. The stats/volume aren't there but if they're not there for anyone else, when you start pulling the curtain back a little he's playing a cut above the other two.
lamar will probably have a few more good passing games and win it, i could see burrow pushing him hard for it though
Myles Garrett?
NFL positions are too different and compartmentalized compared to MLB or NBA or NHL.
MVP should be like the Cy Young for QBs, and offensive player of the year should be exclusively for skill position players. Then they should add a lineman of the year award
It’s rare that DBs ever win DPOY (I can only recall 3-4 instances ever, that as well should be broken into Dline and back 7
How CJ not in this conversation? Anyone expect the Texans to be anywhere near as good as they've played this year?
CJ Stroud needs to be in the MVP picture as well. Dude is already looking like a future HOF'er.
And CJ Stroud
Please explain how Mahomes is an MVP candidate this year outside of media bias/past years results. He's not played well, and the defense has kept them in games and made up for poor turn overs by the offense.
Feels like no QB should be considered the top runner. McCaffrey and Brown stand out as the non-QBs.
If it is a QB I feel like Goff is getting shafted. Outside of a thought game against Baltimore the guy has been playing great all year. If Hurts, Mahomes, and Jackson are getting consideration no reason Goff shouldn’t be in the discussion with them.
Stroud is a rookie but his name also stands out, especially with his crazy TD:INT ratio.
Today, I would give AJ the MVP over Hurts... but I think Hurts play is more sustainable over the entire year.
Mahomes? 🤨
Just give it to Stroud. I want a rookie to win it so bad.
Sorry but Mahomes certainly does not deserve MVP. 17TDs 8INTs is not MVP level.
Tua really hurt himself last week. It feels like halfway through the season there's no real standout so if anyone lights it up over the 2nd half it's theirs to win, assuming they win enough games.
I wouldn't be surprised if Joe Burrow takes it at the end. He had a really slow start but has been constantly ascending.
That's wild that a lot of y'all want the MVP to go to a non QB when it's almost always been a QB award. Bye weeks are coming up now. Teams will start to separate themselves as well as certain QBs
At this point Stroud is a stronger candidate than Lamar. What a weak year.

Not the most explosive MVP race between two quarterbacks.
No qb has been good enough to win mvp this year. Not even Mahomes.
It should be CMC, Tyreek, or AJ. Hell, maybe even Myles Garrett
