I saw a stat today that was win probability added by opponents dropping interceptions, dropping their own passes, missing field goals, and fumble recoveries (either team). By that combined the metric the chargers were the luckiest team in the league

since nobody is having the clearly best year, its going to be one of the 2 qbs who lead their team to the 1 seed. though i have my doubts they give it to mahomes again even if kc gets the 1 seed, unless he goes on tear. if its still kc and phi on top at the end of the season, it might go to hurts.

if they continue to win the turnover battle 4-1 or 5-1 i can see it happening

the offense isnt the problem. people made a big deal about hiring kellen moore but the offense was 5th in points in 2021 and 13th in 2022 (with herbert playing with busted ribs). theyre 8th this year.

I wish broadcasts and other media talked about penalty stats similar to other stats. There's only like 1 website that actually tracks penalty data like this and most people don't know about it.

The average r/nfl poster is going to be shocked to see KC with no RTP calls and middle of the pack in automatic first down. People think KC gets more help from the refs when its simply not true. It won't change their firmly set belief op, but it will be a temporary moment of confusion.

this one of those things where no one knew what the hell was happening and then people immediately jumped to "rigged" and refused to change their minds when it was explained what happened.

a few minutes later on the same broadcast they clearly showed one of the refs coming in from the seconary blowing the play dead before the ball was snapped. thats it, the play didnt count. there was no extra play.

they all have great counting stats. Ben and Eli have the rings which are really important. Ryan has the 1 MVP but thats really it.. he only has 4 pro bowls even and pro bowls are a low bar. Rivers has no mvp, all pros, or rings- no shot.

this should have been a CBS double header. bengals/texans into chargers/lions with ravens/brows on fox would be a solid day. instead we get more nfc east bullshit.

Tua really hurt himself last week. It feels like halfway through the season there's no real standout so if anyone lights it up over the 2nd half it's theirs to win, assuming they win enough games.
