I'm all for the love of the Raiders and what the new coach AP has brought to this team but we need to be real.

We beat up on a Giants teams that finished the game with what might be the worst NFL QB I've ever seen.

Let's keep this same energy if we lose to the Jets next week.

We are making the right moves and I love the energy from this sub right now but I dont want no sunshine fans. We were born in the darkness.

honestly, it's nice to see the team with some life. effort was always in question with mcdaniels as HC. so far with AP it's not.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

No it wont.

Realistically i think AP has to win 4 or 5 of the last few games.

Chiefs and Dolphins are the only two games that we will be at a significant roster disadvantage.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

It depends how we lose.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

They should smoke cigars after every game. Fuck it.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Jets 100% have more overall talent than we do. They also have a coach that’s a great motivator. All I’m looking for is the team to come out with the same effort and intensity.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Jets defense is elite.

Just want to see these guys play their asses off.

I feel like AP would be able to handle the team way better after a loss. JMD just throwing everyone under the bus.

This is what's known as Raider fan PTSD. No worries, I understand your struggle.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

As long as we're playing Raider football, I'm going to be happy for the rest of the season.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

I’m still expecting losses and that’s OK because of better draft positioning. I just want to watch a team that is having fun with each other on and off the field for 8 more games.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

I don’t care how the rest of the actual season goes, since McDipShit is gone. I would love to see us do well, but I consider the season a wash with good news in the middle of it. IE change of coaching staff

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

We’ll find out Sunday

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Depends on that we look like and why we lose. If the team fights and scratches and claws but something like idk having a rookie QB against arguably the best defense in the NFL is the reason we lose I won't be mad. It'll be nothing but love.

Now, if Zack Wilson lights us up and we just look like garbage across the board I'll be mad.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

WE MAY NEVER LOSE AGAIN

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Dan Campbell won 3 games his first season with the Lions...

But, you can't live your life by the mood of this sub. You're not going to live long.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

I heard Zach Wilson might be worse. But our defense has made bad qbs look good before so idk. Defense has looked better lately but we’ve been playing bad offenses.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

I'm not sure if DeVito is any worse than Zach Wilson

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

McDaniels is gone. The attitude is back. I loved the Raiders when they had the right attitude and still lost before; I'm still going to love the Raiders when they have the right attitude and still lose now.

If we win the games we should and don't get blown out in the ones we shouldn't, I'm happy. We aren't set up with a playoff run or anything delusional like that.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

I’m just happy McDaniels is gone and the team actually feels happy to play football. Even if they lose, they are much happier now than the misery they would have to endure losing under McDaniels.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

It was great seeing a team enjoy what they do for a living. RFL

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Win over the Jets this week will have me more excited than anything JMD did in 2 years. It will probably be on par with beating the Chargers 2 years ago in week 17 to clinch a playoff spot.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

We were going to beat Danny anyhow.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

We just needed an enjoyable win tbh. Being with mcdaniels was so depressing. Whether we win or lose I’d rather lose with a new learning staff than a “seasoned offensive guru” who would make some of the most boneheaded moves ever.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

I don't need to see the team win every week but I think they need to look like they belong on the same field as the other team which rarely happened with mcdaniels

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

The Jets are a scrappy team with a great defense. I've actually been rooting for them this season as well after watching Hard Knocks and seeing them still trying so hard after Rodgers' injury. I'll be happy just to see a good competitive match.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

We were guaranteed to lose under McDumbass because no one was bought in. So there is no downside at this point - in my opinion. Lose trying - respect.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

I have been trying to stay reserved and not get my hopes up because for all I know, we could lose every game the rest of the season somehow and just end up disappointed in the end. But I gotta say, I’m think I’m gonna let myself just stay hyped. Something feels so very different now. Football is a mental game and I think that a coaches 1st job is to get the players right mentally. AP apparently does that. He gets it. The players know he gets it and trust him. Just being in a good mood makes you play better. I don’t care if they lose. They are getting better instead of worse.

I think, regardless of what happens this season, we keep AP and let him have a full offseason with his own staff and see what happens

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

You must have watched a different game than I did last night. I have no idea how the Jets have a win this season if they can make the Chargers look that good.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

How jon gruden once said " I'm not into dreams, I'm into fucking nightmares, y'all understand that!"

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

The giants and the Jets are the same, both on of the worst teams in the nfl stat wise. Who cares if we beat them, every other team are the ones that will prove anything

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

A win and our season continues. A loss and it's a much deeper out to dig out from

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

My level of love for this fucked up team hasn't wavered in decades. I'll NEVER switch teams.

As much as they drive me crazy, I'm always loyal.

But last Sunday was the most fun I've had watching in quite a while. Fired up from what AP can bring for the rest of the year. Win, lose or draw.

If our boys play with passion and try hard, I'm happy 😊

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

If we lose, at least it’ll be entertaining instead of assumed. That said, we’re going to the Super Bowl. So fuck it.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Yeah because the jets are actually a good team who can beat great teams even with a terrible QB

The main thing though is that the team is happy and having so much fun again. Josh made us the most joyless, miserable franchise in the league

Fun is infectious

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

This offense would have to shit the bed for any type of hate to come from the fans. Like a shutout or maybe a game where we don’t score a TD. I highly doubt this team goes out and shits the bed, I’ll explain

Yes Jones got hurt and they played a backup but the backup was seeing 2nd team reps since Jones been injured, not saying he’s great or good I’m just saying. You can’t undersell Saquon as well, and the defense isn’t the same with Williams gone but they still had Lawrence and Thib the rook out there on the line and in no way shape or form is that DL bad or solid, it’s good at the very least.

To stay on the OL topic I think that’s where the concern was, well atleast from me. We have WRs that are complete dogs, and if you follow AOC closely you know he’s an accurate kid with NFL level anticipation THEN sprinkle in a new OC that will mold the offense to AOCs strengths, i was worried about the OL. They played a lot better and once again they went up against a good DL.

Yes the Jets have a crazy defense but they also have one of the worst QBs in Wilson. I watched his last game and Jesus, this guy was missing layups and everything else. The pass rush seems to bug him and Raiders have creating steady pressure for the most part so I expect the same outcome.

With that being said I think 2 TDs and a FG or two will win this game, I’ll be surprised if Jets score anything more than 10 pts. Not saying our defense is elite but the Jets offense is terrible.

Yes the nation needs to relax BUT it was a great win and this isn’t the same team in no way shape or form. We have an OC that’s playing to playmakers strengths and looks like he has some trick plays up his sleeves and that’s BIGTIME. You have to keep the offense fun to keep everyone engaged. Also this is basically an interview so Bo will pulling out his best tricks and imo Mayer is going to finally get a TD and have a breakout game.

From reports it sounds like Graham was being held back by JMD so I expect this defense to finally be what Graham envisioned. I believe just like the Giants, this is a game we SHOULD win, and like last week I think it happens unless for some reason Wilson has the game of his life against a Raider defense that has been good.

My concern is the 2 KC games and MIA game. Those are games that will test the team IN WHOLE. Jets will test our new offense and defense won’t be put to the test as much. I think with those games we as fans need to realize those are top teams that will put this team through the ringer. I have faith, and if AOC keeps improving and Bo keeps calling a good game, man this team is scary

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Would love to win but as long as I don't have to watch anymore soulless mcdummy football and it actually looks like we're improving I'm happy.
