Pointless.

You'd need 500 signed affidavits to be taken seriously. Anyone can just forge a signature. Affidavits are signed under oath, under penalty of law.

Would it?

Russia cant even stand up against Ukraine and is resorting to terror tactics in the false hope it'll break their will, when instead all its doing is pissing them off even more and galvanizing them against Russia and strengthening their will to fight.

With Ukraines stellar accomplishments against Russia so far, expansion of the war just involving NATO states on the border of Russia/Ukraine would probably spread Russia's military to the breaking point with having to deal with Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania and Poland.

Not to mention any other eastern european NATO members.. Though Slovakia, Romania and Bulgaria would probably mostly be used to keep Hungary and Turkey in check, since they are not exactly NATO friendly countries, Despite being in NATO, with their asshole leaders. Especially Hungary.

Which opens up US, France, Germany, UK and other naval and air powers to deal with China.. Not to mention any asian states that may choose to get involved out of fear of eventually being on the receiving end of China's expansion... Or currently facing the early stages of it Like Phillipines, Vietnam, Etc in the south china sea.

I cant see china doing the calculus on this and finding the conditions favorable.

A lawyer would be if you were harmed

A lawyer can also help guide you through the legal and procedural issues. Lawyers are not for just if you are harmed.

It would probably also help you a bit more with legitimacy, if you can get a known lawyer helping you... Cause any crank can make a claim, but a known lawyer wont risk their reputation/license/job on happenstance with little evidence.

Yes yes, but think of the shareholder profits. Thats what really matters here, not these childish fantasies about the horrible nature of frakking and the fact that it makes water flammable! /s

anyone that is upset over this should be thrown in the furnace with the statue. Let the spirit of Sherman live on.

These fines worked in 1957.

They don't work today.

Its not an overreach to increase fines to a relative point commiserate with current earnings, so that they can actually harm a company and by doing so discourage future illicit behavior.

To try and claim otherwise is some corpo rat bullshit.

These fines come on the heels of willful behavior, that they believe they can make money off of even accounting for the fines.. Which turns the fine into nothing more than a tax. With higher fines, that can destroy their profits and damage their company, they won't be so eager to pencil evil into the expense line.

Google made 100 billion last year.

300 million is barely a blip.

The fine should have been 30 billion.

if the fines arent big enough to seriously hurt a company, Then the fines are not big enough to change their behavior.

They just become a tax on evil.

Don't owrry, he'll file a spurious lawsuit against them soon, which they will immediately settle, in a totally-not-legalized-bribe means of smoothing over the upset.

I know all about Notch being a massive piece of shit, and am 100% in favor of him sitting alone in his big mansion, festering in his own filth.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 4 days ago

legalized bribery. he files bullshit lawsuits demanding payola and they cave no matter how great their chance if winning is... cause its not about lawsuits its about bribes

is this why microsoft made it so they can ban people for what they say in a privately hosted server?

No thanks, I prefer cash. Credit cards and debit cards can be disabled at a whim. Prone to being fucked up by computer error, don't work when the internet is down, or during a disaster with no power.

Cash always goes through, though. Cash will always remain king.

Upscaling and Frame Generation are disasters meant to conceal unfulfilled promises from GPU makers for 4k gaming, and as a coverup for the otherwise horrible performance some modern games have, even at 1080/1440p resolutions.

Upscaling will never, no matter how much AI and overhead you throw at it, create an image that is as good as the same scene rendered at native res.

Frame Generation is a joke, and I am absolutely gobsmacked that people even take it seriously. It is nothing but extra AI frames shoved into your gameplay, worsening latency, response times, and image quality, all so you can artificially inflate a number. 30FPS gaming is, and will always be, infinitely better as an experience, than AI frame doubling a 30fps experience to 60FPS.

and because both these technologies exist, game devs are pushing out less optimized to completely unoptomized games that run like absolute dogshit, requiring you to use upscaling and shit even at 1080p just to get reasonable frame rates on GPUs that should run it just fine if it was optimized better (and we know its optimization, because some of these games do end up getting that optimization pass long after launch, and wouldnt you know.. 9fps suddenly became 60fps)

My town currently has 4 highway on/off ramps. one on the far right (where the yellow and green lines start), one in the middle right above my industrial area, one in the middle left, between my farms/logging industry, and a 4th one off screen to the further left that goes to a seaport.

I would assume that traffic would follow the yellow line, using the offramps near their destinations.

instead, ALL the traffic coming into my city, is coming in on the far right and weaving through my surface streets (a 4 lane road, not highway, ring road, and 2 lane connector roads), causing massive traffic headaches and even bigger backups as they try to follow the green line to get to the far left through my city.

Why are my Cims dumb and bombing through the middle of my city, instead of taking the highway?

and another topic.. this torrential crush of vehicles coming in off that one far right offramp regularly causes huge backups for 4+ chunks on the right highway. I have lane mathmatics. I have a very long runup where they have plenty of time to get over. I still get idiot Cims taking the furthest lane just to get ahead of the crush before stopping and trying to merge in right before the offramp.

I miss TM:PE traffic lines.

I have no idea where to post this, I assumed..since its a gaming mouse, the gaming linux community would be appropriate, Apologies if I am mistaken.

I have a g502 hero, and it is giving me no end of grief.. namely with regards to the DPI settings.

First and foremost, it just randomly resets itself to an absurdly high DPI

I use Piper, since everything I've found online says Piper works great for g502 mice on linux, and while I can use it to set the colors of the LEDs.. the DPI settings just don't stick.

I've tried setting all the DPI options to the same DPI I prefer, Doesnt work. I've tried disabling all the DPI settings except one, and doesnt work. I've even tried running piper via sudo and the DPI settings still don't change on the mouse (they change in Piper, though)

It seems like nothing I can set, as far as DPI goes, works. I know it is communicating with the mouse cause, like I said, I can change the LED colors and button configs.. but the DPI settings just wont stick, and worse, randomly change.

and I know, I say random, and some people might thing I'm accidentally hitting the resolution up button since its right there next to m1, but I'm not. I can have the DPI set, via the DPI up/down buttons on the mouse, then get up and walk away.. and when i come back, its back at absurd meth speed again.

Its genuinely not only driving me nuts, but really screwing with my ability to play games.

If anyone has any suggestion or solution, can you please share them with me?

If you got this far, then thankyou for reading this half rant half, half tech plea.

gamers nexus just dropped a 3 hour video where they talk to various companies involved in the consumer PC space, some of whom really open up about their costs and economics and how operating in america just isnt feasible under the current tariffs

Not once, since Fallout 4's release, in god only knows how many hundreds of hours of play time, have I gotten the perfectly preserved pie..

UNTIL TODAY.

I jumped up in such excitement that I smashed my knee into my desk and now walk like a feral, but god damnit who cares about pain when you have THE PIE.

I mean, the battle fastfowarding helps somewhat.. but my PSX games were all over 40 hours each, some reaching 60.

but I beat Suikoden 1 Remaster last night in under 14 hours (Perfect ending, for those curious). I wasnt rushing or speed running, or following a guide or anything. Just memory, and even with lots of exploring after everystory step to recruit everyone the game still came down to 1/4th what some of my games on the PSX version ways.

and theres no story removed or abridged or anything that I can find.. I just can't imagine having a little bit of fast foward in battles can erase 25-45 hours of game play?

One of the changes they made in the Remaster of Suikoden 1 was that Marco no longer repeats a pattern of coin locations.

Which means no more early game infinite money generation.

The Original Command and Conquer, Red Alert, Generals, and Renegade have all been released under GPL licensing to the public.

I was cleaning out my project closet the other day and I found an entire bottle of resin for my printer, still sealed and unopened... but it is several years old at this point.

I didnt see an expiration date or anything on it, so I just wanted to ask before I open it and potentially make a huge mess... Does Resin Expire or otherwise go bad with time if its factory sealed? or in general?

These are straight, parallel roads (made with a single drag, so no like, plop a section, then plop another section) on a flat surface. and I keep getting weird gaps and misalignment and other stuff that is observably minor but is making me want to rip my goddamn fucking hair out with how its screwing up symmetry and other stuff.

The only thing I can find about this is to disable various snappings and to make sure the land is flat. I have redrawn this area like 2 dozen times trying various combinations of snapping and not snapping settings and it still does this same damn shit, and the land is flat.

Personally, I find it endlessly frustrating and even terrifying to be in the passenger seat with a driver who jumps in the car and immediately goes.. Then worries about Seatbelts/Radio/AC/Mirrors/Plugging in Phone/etc etc while driving.

I finally picked up CS2, and was wanting to install a couple mods to get going.

Immediately put off by paradox demanding an account to install mods from paradox mods, so I am trying to get mods from elsewhere.. and the only thing i can find is stuff from a year+ ago saying BePinEx is needed to install mods.

Just wanted to make sure if this is still what you have to do today, before I go down a rabbit hole.
